[There's a brief pause, then Karen takes a deep breath and begins speaking. She sounds both resigned and determined.]

Flandre-san, I've been trying for a week to decide how to tell you this, and now I'm out of time and all I can do is come right out and say it: I'm leaving. --Or more accurately, I'm the only one who's not leaving. I'm staying on the planet, and you're leaving on the Thor and--er. You understand.

[That was awkward. Another deep breath.]

You're probably wondering why. The answer to that is that I can't stay on the Thor anymore. Remi--your sister and Knowledge-sensei aren't the first good friends I've lost while I've been here. [Her voice waver as she lists names.] Cirno, Floe, Renge, Pamela, Medicine, Maka, Youmu... Marisa...

[Marisa was particularly difficult. It's a moment before she continues.] I can't keep living this way. I can't spend every moment with a friend wondering whether it'll be the last time I see them.

Something had to change, and I realized now was the time. [She sounds as hopeful as she's sounded this whole time.] In Tesla Bunsen Sine there's a group that's doing improbability research, and as of last week I've joined them. If the Drive can take everyone away, then it can bring them back, and I intend to find out how to do it. I don't know how long it will take, but I will see everyone again. And... well, in the meantime, there won't be constant appearances and disappearances. It'll be stable.

[Another deep breath.]

I can't apologize enough for leaving you behind. I want you to understand that this was the only way I could go on--if I thought I could have stayed with you, I would have. I've transferred most of my savings to you, so you'll have a fallback if you have trouble finding work. If you need help with anything, or if you need someone to talk to, go to the Pokemon Gym and find a person named Bianca. She's a good friend of mine and I'm sure she'll want to be your friend as well. Play this message for her, she'll want to know what happened.

Aside from that, there's something I want you to remember. You are a good person, and you deserve to be happy. No matter what happens, always remember that. It's all right to be sad, it's all right to cry, but you should never give up on being happy.

[Another pause.]

If Remilia-san was here, she'd tell you that you're the mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion now. I don't fully understand what that would mean to her, but she probably wouldn't say it anyway. But she'd be proud of you. And wherever she is, she loves you. [Wavering again.] Never forget that. Your sister loves you. All of us love you. I love you.

The ship is about to lift off, so I need to finish this up before it moves out of range. I'll miss you, and I intend to come back for you.

[There's one last pause, and when she speaks again her voice cracks. She almost made it. One word from the end.]

Goodbye.

[And she ends the transmission in a hurry.]

Non, non, this is all wrong! You must help me! This cannot be happening, and none of this is right!

[Sorry Dani, this one was intended for your big sis. Get ready for an earful...]

[Oh yeah...This will end well.]

Eh? Wait, what do you mean? What happened? What's wrong?

[For now..going to at least ask because no idea this wasn't meant for her.]

[Oh so well, perfectly even. She recognized the voice was not Emilie's as soon as it came on, and Chloe just started going into a repeated 'no no no!' it took her a moment to reply back.]

No, no, I was trying to speak with your sister. This is too much for your delicate ears. I cannot speak about kissing strangers with her younger sister!

Hey- Calm down. I'm not a little kid. I can handle it!

[Can you hear the pout through the phone. She could take care of anything either of her sister's could.....Mostly.]

Kissing strangers? Like how strange? I mean, It can't be that bad Chloe! You can tell me! I won't tell anyone!

[She was totally much younger than her sister, and Emilie would probably kick Chloe's ass if she got too detailed about this little vision.]

Very well... The vision involved me kissing a woman I have only seen in these visions. It was a very affectionate kiss, as if I were deeply in love with her, but I still do not even remember her name. And, to top this off, I am in a relationship now and have been for several years, a happy one I might add.

Huh..That is kinda bad. But..

[Give her a second. There is a part of her that knows she should just hand this over.]

Maybe...it's just a bad dream or your mind playing tricks on you? Like a fear that something might happen and there isn't anything you can do about it? Have you talked to them lately?

[Please do not take relationship advice form a 12 year old...even if she makes it sound like she has a clue.]

[She wasn't going to take much serious advice from a girl this young, no. But it didn't hurt to humor her at least a little. She was trying to help, after all. Besides, the details of the vision were part of why she was freaking out, and Dani was a touch young for all that.]

I do not know that I would call a waking vision a bad dream, but my girlfriend and I have spoken several times recently. It is growing a bit strained because of the stress of all the strange things here that are not in France.

Oh...That's really not good. Is there anything you can do about it, like visit or something? Or is she just worried about coming over and dealing with all of this?

Maybe...I..I dunno Chloe. This is all really...stuff I don't know much about.

It is that she does not see the things that we see. She cannot believe them anymore than my mother could. She doesn't have the app, so they aren't happening to her. Such as with horses. [She sighed sadly.]

And do not feel bad. You are young. You do not need to be worrying about such things this much. There are years yet to do so.

Not even sending pictures or stuff like that helps?

[Another pause because well then...What else can she really do.]

I'm sorry. Maybe..I dunno. Like you said, I'm young but it might make sense some day.

From what I've been told, it is as if the app were not there when they look out our phones. I do not know that a picture would work, and it is best not to try without testing it first. [She shook her head.]

But, relationships will at least make more sense for you eventually, yes.

Damn...It's like this thing has it out for everyone who isn't a dealing with all this crazyness. But if there is anything I can do, just let me know. There has to be something!

Eh, I've seen how it is with Emi and Nina. I think I might just pass on that. Too much at risk.

I think it has more for us, but yes. I will let you know if there is something that you can help with, though. [She chuckled a little.] And do not worry. I am sure you will find someone when you are older. For now, there is no need to hurry off.
